Learn from the past.

Embrace the present.

Prepare for the future.

African Americans and the African diaspora have made steadfast sacrifices and contributions throughout the United States. We celebrate them and honor them for their significant work. We must share knowledge and wisdom from the past to inform the present and help shape the future.

History

Founded on Vision and Community

The Trailblazers of Broward County, Inc. was established in 2007 by founders, Beauregard Cummings and Mary Black Rizor, pioneers and community leaders in Broward County.

"Their commitment to the Broward County community led to the establishment of The Trailblazers which pays homage to Broward’s black pioneers, with emphasis on the Sankofa bird and its powerful spiritual message."
